Breakfast and Lunch in Barcelona

FEDERAL CAFE

australian style delicious breakfast in the gothic quarter! Kinda on the healthy side with avo toast, omelets - they have a second location as well. Really cute! Great coffee!

TRASPASO

near the beach we went to, pretty far from the main area of the city.  Our hotel recommended we skip barceloneta and instead go to a beach where locals go, and this was great.

MILK

This spot had the best brunch!! Very crowded abroad scene (get used to that in Barce) but still delish and worth the wait.  an americanized menu if you're missing that vibe.

Bo de B

I literally cannot say enough about this sandwich shop.  It always has a huge crowd around it, so try to avoid rush times or go and be prepared to wait.  There is kind of an abroad scene here too, but the food is so worth the crowds. I had the omelet sandwich and patatas bravas, which are like potato cubes with awesome sauces.  Bo de B is right by the water and port, so there's a great view while you eat your delish food!!!

LA ESQUINA

this could be a good lunch option near the center of the city! Possibly one of the best coffees we had all week, and the avocado toast was tasty.  Also a little bit insta bait but honestly good! And definitely not related to New York’s taco spot that we know and love <3 but still a great corner!

BAR BUT

not too far from a touristy area in Eixample, but with a major local tinge.  We went here for lunch and enjoyed our salads. Sometimes you just need something green after meal and meal of ham and potatoes, ya know.  The patatas bravas were served in a waffle... which was an interesting twist.
