Coffee and Treats in New Orleans
CAFE DU MONDE
duh duh duh. Don’t wear black, powdered sugar will stick to you for the rest of the day. If it’s warm out (or cold, honestly) get a frozen coffee as well. It’s almost as good as the beignets <3 (French Quarter)
District donuts
There are a bunch of ‘district’ locations - coffee and hand pies perhaps? Definitely a growing biz. It’s hard to advocate for a traditional donut in beignet city but this is certainly not a bad spot for creative donut options. (Many locations!)
Spitfire Coffee
My choice for a pretentious cup of coffee in the french quarter. Very tiny with like one table. Good stuff though, authentic vibezzzz. (French Quarter)
Addiction Coffeehouse
This was my dad’s preferred coffee shop in the french quarter. Named for Jane’s Addiction which really resonated with him, lol. If you exit the Ritz (gotta love inviting yourself on business trips!!!) on Iberville, this is right there. Many more tables and larger seating area. (French Quarter)
PJs in the Airport
PJs is the local coffee chain of New Orleans that I’m weirdly obsessed with, even though it’s not ‘fancy’ coffee. No matter what time of day my flight is, I always need to get one at the airport to prolong my NOLA experience a few more sips.
